FUTURE JOINT VENTURE WPP/GDTC/TECHNIP
For the past 34 months there were negotiations among WPP/GDTC and Technip California USA leaded by Rafael Ben President of WPP and by Ted Martinez Head business developer of Technip California USA for the implementation of a mega project in Kingdom of Morocco namely the “Complexe des Energies Renouvelables au Royaume du Maroc (CERRM)”
Project whose Owners and Master Developers are GDTC and WPP Pour les Energies Renouvelables au Royaume du Maroc, which is owned by Rafael Ben President of WPP Energy Corp, and by HEH Natour Ahmad Zuhir Mohammad, the Chairman and the CEO. HEH Natour is also the Chief Executive Officer of WPP Energy Corp for all the countries in the African continent, the Middle East, GCC countries and the Mediterranean Basin regions.
The CERRM project First Division will be processing in stages starting with 500 tons/day of Fresh Municipal Solid Waste on year 2018 increasing gradually to 3,709 tons/day by year 2019 and further to 11,552 tons/day by year 2022 until reaching 18,255 tons/day by year 2027 to produce electricity respectively starting with 48 MW on year 2018; 356 MW by year 2019; 1,109 MW by year 2022 and 1,752 MW by year 2027 per hour of electricity, including by products, and creation of close to 5,262 jobs by 2027 for the local communities.
On April 17th 2013 a meeting was held in the Technip headquarters in Paris among the top level directors of Technip, WPP, and GDTC representatives. The meeting was successful with positive results to move ahead into a binding agreement between the parties to develop one of the largest projects in North Africa in the SUM of USD 1.834 Billion.
Once the first business model will be in operation, the parties will move forward to develop 8 other projects within the Kingdom of Morocco, in the SUM of USD 34 Billion investment that will include a development of other industries as needed for the local market.
